Ipswich Town vs. Man United lineups, expected starting 11, confirmed team news and injuries: Ruben Amorim’s Premier League era begins image
Ruben Amorim will take charge of his first Manchester United match on Sunday as the Red Devils face Ipswich Town in the Premier League.
Confirmed as Erik ten Hag’s successor at Old Trafford on November 1, the Portuguese coach has had a long wait to get going in England’s top flight due to the international break in the middle of the month.
His first test comes against Ipswich, who claimed an impressive 2-1 away win over Tottenham just prior to the pause in the club season.
Manager Kieran McKenna, previously an assistant coach at United, will now attempt to mastermind another memorable victory against his old employers.
The Sporting News looks at the latest team news and predicted lineups for this fixture at Portman Road.

McKenna will have had this fixture circled on the calendar since winning promotion last season, but this meeting with his old club comes at a difficult time in terms of injury concerns.
Nathan Broadhead, Wesley Burns and Jacob Greaves are all doubts for this fixture, while Janoi Donacien and Chiedozie Ogbene are long-term absentees.
In more positive news, Kalvin Phillips is available after missing the Spurs game through suspension, while midfielder Jack Taylor could be back if he comes through training. Key attacker Omari Hutchinson is expected to be fit after suffering a heavily bruised foot.
Ipswich Town predicted XI (Formation, right to left): Muric (GK) — Tuanzebe, O’Shea, Greaves, Davis — Morsy, Cajuste — Johnson, Hutchinson, Szmodics — Delap
Injured: Broadhead, Donacien, Ogbene, Hirst, Greaves (doubt), Burns (doubt)
Suspended: None

It will be fascinating to see how Amorim lines up his team for his first Premier League game.
Although he found success with a back three at Sporting CP, it feels more likely he will use a four-man defence to help his players acclimatise to his methods.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are finally back on the training pitch, although neither is likely to be involved this weekend. The same goes for summer signing Leny Yoro, who is also closing in on a comeback from a broken foot.
Lisandro Martinez is a doubt due to back trouble that kept him out of Argentina’s games this month, while Victor Lindelof also suffered an injury on international duty, but Harry Maguire is hoping to return.
Midfielder Kobbie Mainoo may also be available after missing United’s past four league matches with a thigh issue, while Mason Mount could be in a Premier League matchday squad for just the sixth time this season.
Man United predicted XI (4-3-3, right to left): Onana (GK) — Dalot, Maguire, Evans, Mazraoui — Casemiro, Ugarte, Fernandes — Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho
Injured: Lindelof, Malacia, Martinez, Shaw, Yoro, Mainoo (doubt)
Suspended: None
