Manchester United have been tipped to sack Erik ten Hag this season by Jamie O’Hara, who believes they will suffer the same problems as last term. The Red Devils have already suffered early injury issues, sparking concerns that another availability crisis could be afoot.

Ten Hag enters the new campaign under pressure at the start of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS’ reign over football operations.

The Dutchman oversaw United’s worst-ever Premier League season and a Champions League group-stage exit with just one win from six games in 2023/24.

Sky has slashed the price of its Sky Sports, Sky Stream, Sky TV and Netflix bundle in an unbeatable new deal that saves £216 and includes 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.

With Ultra HD included at no extra cost, football fans can enjoy the 2024/25 season with crystal clear picture quality.

FA Cup glory seemingly rescued Ten Hag, although INEOS’ meetings with several potential replacements in the aftermath indicated that he had plenty more convincing to do.

And O’Hara isn’t confident that the 54-year-old will survive the season despite lifting two major trophies in as many years at the helm.

“I don’t think Erik ten Hag will last the season,” O’Hara told Grosvenor Sport.

“I do feel for him a little bit because he’s had to deal with a lot of injuries both last season and throughout this pre-season, but this is Manchester United we’re talking about here.

“The pressure will always be on, and you have to continuously get good results across all competitions you play in.

“He’s obviously got some credit in the bank because he’s won two trophies in two years – and I think the fans also realise there aren’t that many great managers out there who are available – but I’ll be surprised if he lasts the whole season again personally.”

O’Hara expanded on his concerns about United’s injuries, expressing his bemusement that they have seemingly leaked into the new campaign.

New £52million centre-back Leny Yoro has been ruled out for three months after breaking his foot against Arsenal in Los Angeles.

Hojlund withdrew earlier in the same game, and a hamstring problem is set to leave him sidelined for six weeks.

O’Hara has urged INEOS to intensify their investigation into United’s fitness woes, which has already sparked backroom staff changes en masse.

He added: “I think Manchester United are going to struggle again. They’ve picked up loads of injuries again before the season has even started.

“They’ve brought in Leny Yoro as a young star in defence, and he breaks his foot; it just sums them up at the moment.

“I was expecting a big season for Rasmus Hojlund but he’s now out for a few weeks too – they’re going into the season with half the team again, it’s ridiculous.

“It can’t be a coincidence that this keeps happening – they need to review the way they do things off the pitch because something with their schedule is not right.

“Erik ten Hag is under pressure as it is, and he’s already having to fight fires with their injury list – they’re already on the back foot before the season even starts.”
