“Hiking at Andrews Lake”

Apr 2016

Great place for a hike. Trail is sedate. Wonderful panoramamic views. Stupendous photo opportunities. Premiere mushroom hunting area after a good thunderstorm with lightning. Must have lightning storms. You can find Colorado King Boletes, (AKA Porcini, penny buns). I hunt here every year in August. Chanterelles grow up above the ski resort. Not as big as the one’s in Oregon but in 2015 it was a banner year. Local mushroom guides and cooking classes available. Look in the local newspaper for more information. Good hunting!

Trip Thru the San Juans

Jul 2015 • Couples

We drove down thru Telluride, Durango, and Ouray Colorado. Stopped in each town for shopping purposes. We stayed @ the Ouray Chalet Inn. It was very nice. Good Hot Tub. The location was the best for walking up and down the main street. People in ofice were very friendly and helpful.
