Spurs team news: Vicario, Maddison, Udogie available
Tottenham have goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, midfielder James Maddison and left-back Destiny Udogie available to face Manchester United on Sunday, live on Sky Sports.
Speaking about the returning players, Ange Postecoglou told his pre-Man Utd press conference: “On the injury front, it’s good to have some significant players back, for training purposes firstly because it raises the level and quality of our training.
“In terms of playing, Vicario has trained well and he’s good to go. Madders is good to go and then we’ve had Destiny, Wilson and Brennan also training with the group and they’re in a good space as well.”
Richarlison, Cristian Romero, Dominic Solanke and Micky Van de Ven are expected to return in the next two to three weeks.
Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner are back in training and Wilson Odobert is back on the grass but the club are being cautious about his return after so long out of action.
Radu Dragusin underwent surgery this week after sustaining an ACL injury.

Amorim: Man Utd are different away from home
Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim:
“I feel it in the game, the performance, because you see it, I see it, I see the same thing. Especially in the big games, when you are a little bit of the underdog, that is not what we should feel in any game because we are Manchester United, but I feel the players are more free.
“But when you have to win the game and be more dominant in every aspect, I feel we are not quite there. Sometimes the feeling is different when we’re playing away.”

Amorim: We have the same problems as Spurs
Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim on Tottenham sticking with their style of play:
“I’m a huge fan of Ange Postecoglou. I’m from a different culture, I’m Portuguese and all the Portuguese coaches can adapt. I adapt. The simple thing is that I use one system at the moment because I believe if you work on that system you can play in different systems at the same time. That is my idea.
“But we are not winning games and I understand the connection between me and Ange, we have the same problems.
“In my opinion, with all due respect, I am at a bigger club with bigger pressure. I understand the connection and he’s a really important coach to follow his principles.”

Amorim hints at injury setbacks

Postecoglou: If Man Utd stick with Amorim, they will see progress
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou:
“I’ve got respect for all managers because I know how tough it is.
“But I’m sure if you asked Ruben, he would say he’s doing what he was bought in to do. They’ve scouted him, identified him as the way he plays, the way he goes about his business. You don’t make these appointments because you like the look of someone, you do a lot of work and you bring him in with a purpose.
“Now if anyone believes that could change significantly in a short space of time, they’re living in an alternate universe not based in reality.
“Who am I to advise anybody, but Man Utd stuck with Ruben for the next two years, they’d see progress absolutely because that’s how long it takes.
“If someone can show me someone who has done it quicker without significant investment, by all means put it across my desk and I’ll follow that blueprint.”

Postecoglou gives Van de Ven, Romero updates
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou:
“With Micky, we made a decision to look at, beyond the injury, how we can get him back in a good space.
“He’s doing some different things with different people to look at not just the injury but the mechanics of him because we want him back and in a really good space.
“He’s still training and feels really good so we’re confident his return is imminent but we want to get it right.
“With Romero, it’s a healing issue. The injury hadn’t healed up as we thought it would.
“We could have pushed him and risked it, but we’ve got to just wait and give him a bit more time.
“Depending on his healing, his return could be imminent as well.”
When asked to elaborate on the ‘imminent’ returns, Postecoglou replied: “No because I’m not a doctor.
“As I keep saying, there’s a barrier that you can’t cross when you talk about people, whether that’s injuries or medically.
“Unless you want to call me a liar, what I’m saying is both of them are training, both are in a good place in terms of their recovery, there’s different reasons why we’ve held both back and once they’re right, they’ll be in.”
