Man City 3-1 Man United: REACTION

Pep Guardiola has been speaking about the Premier League title race post-match.

“It is about us,” the Man City boss told BBC MOTD. “We can’t control what Liverpool or Arsenal, Aston Villa or other contenders do, it is about us.

“We do what we have to do to win today, next Wednesday and Sunday. This team is legendary.

“Will we do it? I don’t know. We have today more points at this stage than last season. The difference is Liverpool have I don’t know how many more points than this stage last season.

“When the opponent is behaving like this, what can I say, congratulations so far. We will continue to try game by game.”

Man City 3-1 Man United: REACTION

Erik ten Hag has now spoken about Man United’s 3-1 loss.

The Red Devils boss said: “I think it was a good performance overall.

“We went 1-0 up and we had our moments after it to score the second one.

“We defended very well and there were two defining moments when we nearly made a breakthrough and conceded the first goal.

“Then you are disappointed, we have to accept it and still we had the opportunities to at least get one point, but the win was also possible.”

Man City 3-1 Man United: REACTION

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has reacted to his side’s defeat at the Etihad.

“I think the commitment from the team was there,” Fernandes told Sky Sports.

“We had our chances. Sometimes we played a little too deep but you know City do that to all the teams, you have to defend your box and we did that really well in the first half.

“From a chance that could be ours it ended up 1-1.

“There’s always something more you can do in the game, if it is City or someone else you can always do something better. City are a team that knows how to have the ball and pin teams back.

“We knew we had to defend our goal really well and I think we did, we should have had more spells with the ball than we did in the second half.”

Foden replied: “Hence the celebration…”

When asked about how long that has been Foden’s name, Walker said: “Well, he’s been shooting since 2017 and since I’ve been here!

“He loves a shot. He practices and he puts the work in.
