Born in Wellington, New Zealand, Mike White’s journey to the pinnacle of collegiate softball coaching is nothing short of extraordinary. After a distinguished playing career in men’s fast-pitch softball, where he amassed over 70 wins in world championship tournaments between 1990 and 2006, White transitioned into coaching, bringing his wealth of experience and passion for the game to the collegiate level.

 

White’s coaching career began at the University of Oregon, where he transformed the Ducks into a national powerhouse, leading them to five Women’s College World Series appearances and five Pac-12 Conference titles. In 2018, he took the helm at the University of Texas, embarking on a new chapter that would further cement his legacy in the sport.

Since joining the Texas Longhorns, White has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround, guiding the team to unprecedented success.
