Parma join Tanganga race

Parma have held talks with the representatives of Japhet Tanganga, per reports in Italy.

Tanganga will be a free agent next month after Tottenham decided against activating a one-year option in his contract and the defender is being pursued by a number of clubs.

The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Millwall, who struck a deal with Tottenham last month in a bid to wrap up a quick deal for the centre-back. That failed to come to fruition but the Lions are still in the mix for Tanganga’s signature along with Luton Town.

And according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Parma, who are back in Serie A after winning promotion, have also held talks with Tanganga’s representatives.

ICYMI: Man Utd want Sancho sale

The Manchester United manager saga is officially over but it could mean bad news for Jadon Sancho.

The England international was surplus to requirements under Erik Ten Hag last season and went out on loan to former club Borussia Dortmund to recover some confidence in the second-half of the season. The loan proved positive for the 24-year-old but with Ten Hag now remaining at United next season, the positivity could end there.

The Times report that Ten Hag will ask the club to sell Sancho this summer to fund his other transfer wishes.

Man Utd met with Premier League boss on FA Cup final day

The last thing Erik ten Hag might have imagined as he journeyed down to London for the FA Cup final was that Manchester United’s hierarchy would be meeting with the representatives of Thomas Frank at the same time.

Ten Hag will lead United next season after a protracted managerial saga that saw United suss out a number of managers before deciding to back the Dutchman.

And reports have now emerged that at the same time Ten Hag was preparing his side for a famous 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Wembley Stadium, the club’s top brass were preparing for his potential successor.

Ndombele leaves Spurs

Midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has left Tottenham by mutual consent.

The France international joined Spurs in 2019 from Lyon as a club-record signing at the time. The six-year deal could have risen to £63million, but Ndombele struggled to live up to expectations.

Ndombele’s last appearance for Spurs was back in 2022, having been on loan with Lyon, Napoli and Galatasaray since.

And the club confirmed that his contract has been terminated by mutural consent, ending his time with the north London club after 91 appearances.

Fulham eye Luton defender

Fulham are looking to bolster their defence with the signing of two centre-backs set to occur this summer.

The need for defensive strengthening comes after Tosin Adarabioyo’s exit was confirmed, with the 26-year-old opting to join Chelsea on a free transfer. Meanwhile Tim Ream looks to be closing in on a move to MLS side Charlotte FC.

The departures would leave only Issa Diop and Calvin Bassey amongst the club’s recognised centre-back pickings.

One potential replacement is Luton Town defender Teden Mengi. The 22-year-old came through Manchester United’s academy and showed positive signs with the Hatters during their return to the Premier League.

Martial agent slams claims of ‘greed’

Anthony Martial’s agent has slamed claims that the striker is “financially greedy”.

The 28-year-old left Manchester United as a free agent and is now looking for a new club to procure his services.

And agent Philippe Lamboley has clarified any suggestion that money will be the priority for any decision made.

“I hear reports that he would be too financially greedy with the clubs,” Lamboley said. “This is not true. Anthony wants an ambitious project to achieve high club goals and get back into the France team.

“He will choose his club according to the sporting and family project. The finances are important for any professional player but they are not his priority.”

Liverpool join race for Frimpong

The 23-year-old caught the eye this season as one of Bayer Leverkusen’s most in-form players.

The wing-back produced a host of goals and assists for Xabi Alonso’s side as they stormed into the record books.

And now Liverpool have joined Barcelona in eyeing up the Dutch international for poaching, with a reported release clause of €40million.

Leverkusen will certainly not let Frimpong go for cheap but it could be increasingly difficult for the club to keep hold of all the stars that caught attention after such a scintillating season.

Son shuts down exit rumours

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min said the speculation surrounding his future has made him ‘uncomfortable’ and shut down suggestions he might leave this summer.

The 31-year-old is entering the final year of his contract with Spurs, who have an option to extend the deal by one year.

But rumours have emerged that a shock reunion with Jose Mourinho in Turkey could be on the cards.

Juve’s Greenwood move could open Chiesa door

Juventus’ move for Man Utd star Mason Greenwood could allow Liverpool to revive their interest in Bianconeri star Federico Chiesa.

Greenwood, 22, is expected to leave Old Trafford as he enters the final year of his contract. He spent the last year on loan at Getafe, though the Spanish club are not believed to have the financial might to compare with some of European football’s bigger hitters.

Juve have been given the green light to move for the United academy graduate, but they too may be required to sell to balance the books. That’s where Chiesa comes into the picture. The Italy international has been tipped to leave Turin this summer after reportedly failing to convince new manager Thiago Motta to keep him around.

Forson, 19, made his senior debut under Ten Hag as United beat Wolves in February. He played seven times for the Red Devils’ first team, starting once against Fulham in the Premier League, but was unable to agree a contract extension. Despite late efforts from the English club to keep him around, Forson has opted to fly the nest. Monza confirmed his arrival on Tuesday, with the Englishman signing a contract until the summer of 2028.

“Appreciate all the opportunities you gave me,” Forson wrote in an Instagram story, along with a photo of himself with Ten Hag. “Gonna show the world what you saw in me a long time ago.”
