Leny Yoro is the exciting young option Manchester United are pinning their hopes on this summer. The supremely talented 18-year-old is among three prime targets for Erik ten Hag and key figures behind the scenes as they plot a defensive overhaul at Old Trafford and beyond.
United also have their sights on Jarrad Branthwaite and Matthijs de Ligt with work to do on all three deals. An offer for Yoro has been accepted by his current club Lille.
However, with other options potentially on the table for him – not least from Real Madrid – United must bide their time while looking at what else is on the market themselves. Here, we take a closer look at the latest headlines and news on Yoro’s proposed transfer:

Yoro agrees to sign
Leny Yoro has agreed to sign for Manchester United this summer in a deal that is set to rise to €70million (£58.7m) after Lille accepted a bid of €62million (£52m) earlier this week. The 18-year-old is set to be United’s second signing of the summer after Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee’s arrival, and will likely be available to travel with United to Los Angeles for their pre-season tour next week.
Yoro is set to be part of a majorly-revamped defensive line which will see United attempt to patch up the evident holes from last season with three new signings, of which Yoro is one. Everton have already rejected two bids for their centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite while United are on the precipice of signing Bayern Munich star Matthijs De Ligt.
Yoro set for medical
According to The Athletic, Yoro is now flying out to the UK in order to take his medical before joining Man United this summer. After having their bid of €62million (£52m) accepted for the 18-year-old earlier this week, those at Old Trafford are ready to finally sort personal terms with the centre-back after he initially favoured a move to Real Madrid.
