Sport report that Haaland met with Barcelona coach Xavi in Munich last week and was impressed by the project that the former midfielder is building there.
Barca have been reborn in 2022 and are one of the most in-form teams in Europe, boasting a host of wonderkids – including Pedri, Gavi, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres, as well as other young stars like Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araujo.
Haaland believes that Barcelona are building a brilliant young team and wishes to be part of it. He also is confident that Xavi will help improve him as a player.
How much will Haaland cost Barcelona?
The operation itself will be very expensive for Barcelona.
The Catalans will pay Borussia Dortmund the €75m release clause in Haaland’s contract, as well as €40m in commissions to the player’s agent Mino Raiola and father Alf-Inge Haaland.

Barcelona will hand Haaland a five-year contract which will see the Norway international earn €195m over that time.
That brings the total cost of the operation to an incredible €310m.
In order to fund the deal, Sport and Marca both claim that Barcelona may have to sell 49% of Barca Studios.
Marca, though, say the total cost of the deal will come to slightly less at €250m.
Haaland is set to leave Dortmund at the end of the season when his €75m release clause is activated.
Virtually every top club in Europe is interested in signing the 21-year-old, including Manchester United, Bayern Munich, PSG and Chelsea.
But it is Real Madrid, Man City and Barcelona who have for some time been in the lead for his signature.
Until the last week, Madrid and Man City were considered to be ahead in the race for Haaland.
But Barcelona have made a massive push in the last days and, according to the Catalan press, it has been decisive in convincing Haaland.

About us
Our goal is simple – to become the #1 multi-language transfers source in the football world, serving the football fan their direct desire for everything around the most popular subject in football: Football Transfers.
FootballTransfers (FT) is a project designed to fulfill the massive interest in the transfer market and provide a realistic, algorithmically-driven valuation of football players. We do this together with our partner SciSports.
Valuing a player is currently an arbitrary process where teams, players and representatives simply estimate what they are worth. Together with SciSports, FT aims to use advanced football data, current and future skill level as well as contract length and other details to create our unique internal calculation. From there we derive our own valuation for each and every player in the world’s major football competitions.
