WHAT HAPPENED?

Following a meeting with the Dutch head coach, Eriksen looks likely to depart Old Trafford this summer. Reports from the Mirror suggest the Red Devils will listen to reasonable offers for the 32-year-old, who remains frustrated with his number of minutes on the pitch as a Manchester United player.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

New owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has put a massive amount of faith in Ten Hag following discussions at the end of the 2023-24 campaign. He is now expected to continue reshaping his squad over the summer and it may involve some tough decisions when it comes to sales, with the likes of Jadon Sancho and Antony’s future also up in the air.

DID YOU KNOW?

Since joining Man Utd in 2022, Eriksen has made 72 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring three times and tallying 13 assists. He was also part of the team that won the FA Cup last season against rivals Manchester City.
