The window shuts on Friday, August 30 at 11pm in England, and Premier League clubs have already spent more than £1billion.

And that number looks set to soar as top-flight teams look to bolster their squad before the window re-opens in January.
Big names on the move are Aaron Ramsdale who is off to Southampton, Liverpool are signing Federico Chiesa and Man United are nabbing Manuel Ugarte.
And with Eddie Nketiah seemingly on his way to Crystal Palace, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal decide to go big on a striker.

‘It was destined to be’
Federico Chiesa has revealed why he has taken the No.14 shirt for Liverpool.
The shirt was last worn by former captain Jordan Henderson while it has also been occupied by Xabi Alonso, Neil Ruddock and Jan Molby.
When asked if No.14 has special significance to him, Chiesa said: “Yeah, it has actually.
“It’s the number I’ve been wearing with the national team but it was an easy pick because Liverpool sent me a video and at the end of this video – which was showing my career [and] the goals I scored with Fiorentina and Juventus – it was me with the No.14 shirt on so I said, ‘Ah, it was destined to be!’, so I chose the No.14.”

Liverpool confirm Chiesa
Liverpool have announced their signing of Juventus ace Federico Chiesa.
The Reds have signed the 26-year-old Italian for £12.5million and have handed him a long-term deal.
Chiesa said: “I’m so happy to be a Liverpool player.
“When Richard Hughes called me and he said, ‘Do you want to join Liverpool?’ – and the coach called me – I said yes immediately because I know the history of this club, I know what it represents to the fans.
“So, I’m so happy and I can’t wait to get started.”
Chiesa will wear the No.14 shirt for Liverpool and could make his debut for the club in Sunday’s trip to Manchester United.
The forward becomes Arne Slot’s second signing following the Reds’ agreement to sign Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Off the Marc
Newcastle are losing hope of signing Marc Guehi after Crystal Palace upped their asking price, talkSPORT understands.
The Eagles are now asking for a fee of £75million for the England centre-back having originally demanded £70million.
Guehi is looking set to stay at Selhurst Park despite the Magpies pursuing him throughout the window.
His defensive partner Joachin Andersen has made a move away, but it seems he won’t have the same fate.
Palace are bringing in French defender Maxence Lacroix to strengthen their backline, with that deal almost complete.
Lacroix may have been a buy to replace Guehi, however, after upping their price it’s likely they’ll be playing together.

Forest’s striker search
Nottingham Forest have stepped up their interest in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush, talkSPORT understands.
Frankfurt want £25million for Marmoush who has scored 17 goals in 43 games for the Bundesliga club.
Forest have already missed out on Eddie Nketiah and Santiago Gimenez in their search for a new number nine.
But manager Nuno Espirito Santo is not giving up on bringing another frontman to the City Ground.
Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi are his current options at striker, however, it’s clear he wants another through the door.

Tussle for Trevoh
German side Stuttgart have inquired about Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah, according to reports.
Chalobah has been training with the Blues’ under-21 squad after being left of manager Enzo Maresca’s plans.
He has not been a part of the first team since he was left of the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.
It is looking likely that Chalobah will depart on a loan deal and Stuttgart are eyeing a potential approach.
Crystal Palace are said to be interested too and could make a move if Marc Guehi departs for Newcastle.

Great Scott
The Napoli fans are happy to see Scott McTominay!
McTominay has been welcomed to Italy as he arrived to complete his move from Manchester United to the Serie A.
The Scotsman completed his medal yesterday ahead of his £25million switch.
He is leaving his boyhood club Man United as the Red Devils look to comply with Financial Fair Play rules.
The club needed to sell to comply and with McTominay being an academy product, the fee received is pure profit.
He will now join up with the Napoli squad alongside Romelu Lukaku who is also set to sign for Gli Azzurri.

Coman to Arsenal?
Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman has been offered to Arsenal, talkSPORT understands.
German giants Bayern are keen to get Coman off their wage bill before the summer transfer window closes.
And Arsenal would consider bringing in another wide player before the deadline on Friday night.
Mikel Arteta already has Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard and Reiss Nelson in his squad.
However, with Eddie Nketiah set to depart, Arteta may be looking to add an extra attacking threat in his place.
The French winger also has interest from Saudi Arabia as clubs swoop in to try and get a deal done.
Coman has played 15 minutes of Bundesliga football this season, coming off the bench in Bayern’s curtain-raiser last weekend.
He will be hoping this campaign will be an injury-free one, with last term being littered with issues that kept him sidelined.
The 28-year-old missed a total of 21 games with five separate problems.

Wanted no Mau
Neal Maupay is set to leave Everton and join Ligue 1 side Marseille.
The French striker will reportedly depart Goodison Park on an initial loan deal with a mandatory buy option.
He is said to have agreed to personal terms earlier this week and now a £3.3million fee has been agreed between the clubs too.
Maupay will undergo a medical soon before completing the move.
His departure comes only days after the forward was seen arguing with Everton fans at a train station following a 4-0 loss to Tottenham.
Sean Dyche and the Toffees are allowing him to leave the club with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Beto providing competition up front.

Saints row
Southampton have been offered the chance to re-sign former captain James Ward-Prowse from West Ham, talkSPORT understands.
Saints boss Russell Martin is a big admirer of Ward-Prowse and the south coast side have one domestic loan spot left after agreeing a permanent deal for Aaron Ramsdale.
West Ham are willing to offload England midfielder Ward-Prowse just a year after paying the Saints £30million for his services.
The 29-year-old has played just 16 minutes of Premier League football under Julen Lopetegui – a cameo appearance off the bench in the 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa.
But he did start in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup second round win over Bournemouth which saw Jarrod Bowen score late on.

Barcelona had entered the race to bring the 19-year-old to the Nou Camp on Wednesday.
But the youngster will not be heading to Spain with Hanski Flick’s side unable to register him.
Bajcetic will now link up with Salzburg, where he will be reunited with boss Pep Lijnders.

To be Frank
Brentford boss Thomas Frank has refused to comment on Ivan Toney’s potential exit.
The striker has been heavily linked with leaving the Bees amid interest from Saudi Arabia and Chelsea.
Toney, who is in the final year of his BRentford contract, has been left out of the club’s opening three matchday squads this season.
Frank was asked about Toney’s future following his side’s 1-0 win away at Colchester in the Carabao Cup second round on Wednesday night.
To which he said: “Similar stand to yesterday. I am not speaking about Ivan.
“I want to speak about the 21 lads in the dressing room who did well to get through to the next round of the Carabao Cup against a Colchester team who deserve a lot of praise and made it difficult for us.”

Done deal
Bournemouth have announced the loan signing of goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea.
The Blues shot-stopper penned a new one-year deal at Stamford Bridge before linking up with the Cherries.
Kepa spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, and has now been shipped off to the Vitality Stadium with the Spaniard not in Enzo Maresca’s plans.
Bournemouth’s chief executive Neill Blake said of the deal: “We are delighted to bring a player of Kepa’s calibre to AFC Bournemouth.
“We were aware of his availability and were keen to take the opportunity to bring him to the club on loan.
“We believe he will be an exciting addition to our talented goalkeeping department.”

San storm
Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has remained coy over whether he will look to bring Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge.
A possible swap deal with Manchester United involving Raheem Sterling has been mooted, which would see Marecsa reunited with Sancho having worked together at Manchester City.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference prior to Chelsea’s Europa Conference League second leg clash at Servette, Maresca was asked about the ex-Borussia Dortmund star.
To which he stated: “I said that if we have to sign a player just for signing, I don’t want.
“But if we can sign a player who can help us, for sure I want.
“Jadon is not our player. I know Jadon very well from many years with City. I know him very well.
“But he is not our player. We will see what happens.”

Sal or nothing
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has remained tight-lipped over his future.
The Egyptian winger, who has scored in each of the Reds’ opening two Premier League games, is in the final year of his contract at Anfield.
And speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the Reds’ clash against Manchester United on Sunday, he admitted he is taking things ‘one game’ at a time.
He said: “I just came for a season and was like: ‘I have one year left so just let’s enjoy it. Don’t think about the contract now, don’t think about anything now, let’s just enjoy it.’
“I don’t want to think about next year or about the future. Let’s enjoy the last year and we’ll see.
“Every week that’s the most important thing, just think one game at a game. Feel good to be here and that’s it.”

Exit confirmed
Arsenal have announced the departure of Fabio Vieira to Porto on a season-long loan.
It marks a return back home for the Portuguese midfielder, who left Porto to sign for the Gunners for around £30million in June 2022.
The 24-year-old has since made 49 appearances in all competitions for the north London club, scoring the winning penalty in their Community Shield victory over Man City at the start of last season.
But he was a bit-part player in the previous campaign, making just 11 Premier League appearances.
He has not featured in the matchday squads of either of Arsenal’s first two games of the new season.
And he has now returned to his former club in a bid to revive his young career.

Ruthless Blues
Chelsea’s ‘bomb squad’ have been warned they will NOT play this season if they are not sold or loaned out before Friday’s transfer deadline.
As it stands, Raheem Sterling, Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Ben Chilwell, Trevoh Chalobah, Carney Chukwuemeka, David Datro Fofana and Armando Broja are among a group of 14 players who have been told to find new clubs this summer.
Manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed these players are training away from his main first-team group while they await their fate.
Kepa has agreed a loan move to Bournemouth, while Lukaku is close to a move to Napoli and Sterling has been linked with Manchester United – but the future of the others is unclear.
Now, Maresca has confirmed none of those players will play for Chelsea this season if they don’t manage to find a way out of the club before Friday night.
“All the players who in this moment are training apart will NOT get any minutes in case they stay,” said the new Blues boss.
“My advice to Sterling? He knows exactly what he has to do.
“It’s not just Raheem, all of them.”

Saga almost over
Aaron Ramsdale finally looks set to leave Arsenal to join another Premier League team.
talkSPORT understands Arsenal have agreed a permanent deal to sell their No.2 goalkeeper to Southampton for an initial £18million fee, rising to £25m if Saints stay up this season.
Ramsdale will undergo his medical with the St Mary’s club on Thursday, in time to get the transfer done before Friday’s deadline.
The England international has been strongly linked with an Arsenal exit this summer after David Raya’s loan was made into a full-time move, having lost his No.1 shirt to the former Brentford man last season.
A loan exit had been widely discussed, but now it appears Southampton are ready to splash the cash to land the goalkeeper outright.
Ramsdale has been pushing for a move away from the Gunners, with the 26-year-old desperate for first-team football.

All tied up
Newcastle have named two players linked with transfers in their starting XI for tonight’s Carabao Cup clash against Nottingham Forest.
Miggy Almiron has been picked by Eddie Howe despite his links with a late move to Fulham, to help fund their pursuit of a new winger before Friday’s transfer deadline.
Kieran Trippier is also starting in defence, and has been named captain, despite his links with a move away from St James’ Park this summer – meaning both players will be cup-tied if they joined other English teams.
Another big story is the return of Sandro Tonali from his betting ban – the Italian midfielder has gone straight back into the starting line-up.

Second chances
Everton have made an enquiry about signing Sofyan Amrabat and are closing in on the signing of another ex-Premier League midfielder, talkSPORT understands.
Amrabat is back at Fiorentina after spending last season on loan at Manchester United, who decided not to pull the trigger and make his stay permanent, instead choosing to sign Manuel Ugarte from PSG instead for an initial £42million.
But the 28-year-old Morocco international could get a second chance to shine in the Premier League with Everton, who are looking to strengthen their midfield options before the window closes.
The Toffees have made contact with Fiorentina over a possible move, but talkSPORT sources have said a deal is ‘unlikely at the moment’.
However, the in-trouble Merseyside club are closing in on the signing of defensive midfielder Orel Mangala on loan from Lyon.
Mangala only signed permanently for Lyon from Nottingham Forest earlier this summer – after spending the second-half of last season on loan in France, the club triggered a £17m clause to make the move permanent.
But he could be straight back out the door to Everton on loan, with an obligation to buy.
American tycoon John Textor – the current owner of Lyon and currently in talks to buy the Toffees – is believed to be aiding Everton with that deal.

Wanted man
Fulham are among a number of clubs still looking at a late move for Newcastle attacker Miguel Almiron.
The Magpies are keen to move the 30-year-old Paraguayan out in order to fund their own search for a new winger.
Toon boss Eddie Howe has admitted they cannot afford a centre-back and wide player at present, with the club still hopeful of doing a deal for £70m-plus rated Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
Almiron is a popular figure within the club and a cult hero with supporters, but his impact in the team has waned over the last year or so.
The versatile attacker has 30 goals and 12 assists in 210 games in a black and white shirt since his arrival from MLS side Atlanta United in January 2019.
And while he enjoyed a superb 2022/23 campaign with 11 goals and four assists, Newcastle’s spending saw him given a lesser role last term, which saw him deliver a smaller return of five goals and three assists in all competitions.

Bye bye Baj
Barcelona are battling RB Salzburg to sign Liverpool midfielder Stefan Bajcetic on loan, talkSPORT sources have confirmed.
The 19-year-old is highly-rated at Anfield but finds himself down the pecking order following a string of injuries which have hampered his progress.
Having not played for the Reds since May, he could be on his way out before Friday’s deadline, with Barcelona a potential destination.
The Spanish giants are understood to be keen on the young Spaniard to cover defensive midfielder Marc Bernal, whose season has been ended already due to an ACL injury.
Barca want him on a straight loan with no buy clause, and are said to have offered to pay £3.3million [€4m] as a loan fee.
But they have stiff competition from Salzburg, who are managed by Jurgen Klopp’s No.2 Pep Lijnders.
The Austrian side has already brought in one of Liverpool’s young talents this summer – 19-year-old midfielder Bobby Clark, who left the Merseysiders in a permanent switch earlier in the window for £10m.
Now it seems Bajcetic has a big choice to make over whether to link back up with a coach who knows his game well, or accept a once-in-a-lifetime chan
