Form guide – Manchester City
City’s form guide is perhaps one of the best known in the world – five straight defeats is unheard of in Pep Guardiola’s managerial career and was unthinkable for a side that won five trophies in 2023.
Tottenham, in the League Cup and the Premier League, bookend the run, while Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League and Brighton and Ipswich Town in the league have completed the miserable mood at Manchester City.

Head-to-head: Manchester City vs Feyenoord
The clubs have only met on two occasions and both ended in wins for City.
The group stage matches were played in 2017 with Raheem Sterling scoring the only goal in a win for City in Manchester, while John Stones scored twice with Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus bagging the other in a 4-0 return leg victory for the Cityzens.

Kevin De Bruyne admits injury frustration as starting return beckons
Midfield playmaker Kevin De Bruyne was out for many weeks after picking up a niggle in mid-September but has made three substitute performances since his return to action earlier this month.
“I can help the team but you can only do so much from the side,” he said. “It’s frustrating because I know if I was feeling good I could help the team, but I wasn’t able to do that.
“It’s been a bit chaotic, I would say. I’ve seen so many people around the medical area, sports science, [you wonder] who’s playing, who is not playing. There were people who shouldn’t be playing, but they did anyway, with injuries.”

Pep backs City for ‘very good things’ despite five straight defeats
“I have the feeling that this season we will do very good things,” he told his pre-match news conference. “I don’t give up and I have the feeling we will be there. You are defending a legacy, a tradition, a success that is so difficult to handle,” he added.
“So, that’s why I relax. If we don’t do it, we don’t do it. It’s just to try to focus in the short period of time and win the next games. So, what I want is a commitment. I want the players in certain departments to be more focused. Step by step, we come back. This too shall pass. Life is like that. When you think it’s perfect, you are wrong. It’s going to rain tomorrow. So, it’s life.
“Right now, the most important thing is not tactics, it is to win a game on desire. You look at December and at the end of the season, whether you need to change things and be more solid, but these guys will do very, very good things.”

Last up in the Champions League for Feyenoord
Striker Karim Konate snatched a double as Salzburg scored their first goals of the Champions League group competition and also picked up their first points with a surprise 3-1 away win at Feyenoord on November 6.
Konate took advantage of defensive slips for his goals but it was substitute Daouda Guindo who made sure of the win with a stunning left-footed finish as the 10-man Dutch side threatened a late comeback
Feyenoord had won their last two group games away at Girona and Benfica and were fancied to climb the table but were stunned on their return to De Kuip by the youthful Austrian outfit.
The hosts had substitute Chris-Kevin Nadje sent off in the 79th minute after a VAR review saw an initial yellow card for a studs-up tackle changed to red.
