Manchester United are being linked with a move for Netherlands star Xavi Simons.
Simons recently starred for his country at Euro 2024 where he scored the opening goal in the 2-1 defeat to England in Wednesday’s semi-final. With the striker not proving enough to send the Netherlands through to the final, Simons will now rest up ahead of his return for pre-season training.
The 21-year-old spent last season on loan at RB Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain, where he scored 10 goals with 15 assists in all competitions. That form has seen Simons heavily linked with a move away from PSG this summer.
According to The Sun, United are one of two clubs showing an interest in signing Simons. The report states that the Reds are joined by Bayern Munich in expressing an interest in signing the versatile playmaker this summer.

No fee has been mentioned in the report, only that Simons would be keen on having regular game time at whichever club he plays for next term. It remains to be seen if the 21-year-old still has a long-term future with PSG or if the Ligue 1 club will look to move him on in a permanent deal.
Simons plays in a No.10 role and is also capable of performing on either wing for club or country. United’s interest in Simons could see the club planning for life after Bruno Fernandes leaves the club.
