LIVE Transfer Talk: Man City to remove Haaland’s clause

ESPN

The summer transfer window has closed throughout most of Europe, but there are still moves in the works and plenty of gossip swirling around. Transfer Talk brings you all the latest buzz on rumours, comings, goings and, of course, done deals!

What do you think about the transfer of Haaland coming to Manchester City?

As long as Fabrizio Romano himself doesn’t inform about it, then it’s just a plain bullshit rumours.

Up until I wrote this answer, Fabrizio never tweet such topic that Haaland would be coming to City or any indication that City made some bids for him to Dortmund. You could check him out yourself in his twitter account, if you don’t believe it.

The only rumours about Haaland is Barcelona, but in the end, neither of them would make the move since Barca is broke and couldn’t afford him in the first place. Even Barca’s president himself said that it’s impossible to sign Haaland.

So, Haaland to Manchester City is highly-unlikely and certainly a fake news.

What other transfer is Manchester City expected to finalize this week?

How much ‘legendary’ status did Peter Schmeichel lose from Manchester United fans after playing for Manchester City?

What do you think about Manchester City Transfers?

Will Manchester City sign a top attacker this transfer window?

What are the concerns among Manchester City fans about the squad’s strength after the transfer window?

What do you think about Manchester City Transfers?

I like Mendy, Silva and Danilo but all of them are expensive. Walker could improve. Ederson could be great for future. But for a club with ManC’s ambition, they need more from their academy.

EPL clubs need to up their game in scouting around the world. Looks like the best players are coming to EPL clubs after already playing in Europe. In some cases, it is the visa requirement but not in all cases.

Can anyone stop Manchester City?

Yes, of course, we’re not invincible. Everton stopped us from winning, and Wolves stopped us from scoring. We also haven’t played one of the “top six” away from home yet (we have a daunting run around March-April if memory serves)

All this talking us up tends to happen though, as it does with England after a single win, and as others – myself included – are doing with Spurs. You rarely hear it come from a Blue though.

It happened the season we won the league and League Cup under Pellegrini. Everyone was talking about not the title, not a treble, but the fabled quadruple. None of us were having i

What do you think about Manchester City Transfers?

They did well. In fact really well. Yes they had to spend a lot of money. But look at their squad now

Replaced old fullbacks in with Mendy, Danilo and Walker. 3 fullbacks with lots of experience.

Bernanrdo Silva. The creative playmaker from the star studded 2016–17 Monaco campaign which won the ligue 1 and went to semis in the champions league.

Ederson. He was a beast against dortmund in the UCL 16–17 first leg. He is an awesome addition.

Even in the previous markets, They bought players like gundogan, sane, gabriel jesus , stones , otamendi and Kevin de bruyne who are really good transfers so far.

Does Manchester City have a buy back clause for Marcos Lopes?

Which club do you think Erling Haaland will move to after Manchester City?

Why do people hate Manchester city so much?

Do you think that Manchester City needs a transfer business in the January window?

Who will successfully sign Haaland, Manchester United or Manchester City?

Who will successfully sign Haaland, Manchester United or Manchester City?

Neither.

The price in the release clause of Halaand’s contract is really flattering and seductive. £65M for the best natural out and out striker in the world, who is just 20yrs is unbelievable! Right?

That’s easy.

The problem comes with what he and his team have to earn.

I was listening to talksport’s podcast yesterday and the guy was talking about how it would be stupid for any club to buy Halaand. According to his understanding, Erling Halaand wants 1M a week and a £30M sign on fee. His agent, Mino Raiola, wants £20M, £25M, £30M and £40M for Halaand’s 3yr, 4yr, 5yr and 6yr contract respectively.

Who does Manchester City need to sign?

Manchester City need to invest around 150 million in the squad come the summer.

Goal Keeper – Ideally I would like to see City exercise their buy back option for Geronimo Rulli of Real Sociedad. They bought him last summer for around 5 million before selling him permanently un December. I think the clause is set at around 8–10 million, which is a great price for a good young goalkeeper especially when their other target, Ederson Moares (Benfica) is worth around 30–40 million.

Right Back – With both Zabaleta and Sagna out of contract in the summer, City need to sign atlas 1 new player in this pos

Can anyone stop Manchester City?

Hey, City fan here. Nice question; One I’m accustomed to hearing these days.

Before I start, I would just like to say that we’ve been unreal in the league this season and this has been the best year of my CityZenship; and hats off to Pep, who’s not only brought in new players, but considerably improved the existing ones- De Bruyne, Sterling, Silva and many more. This season, we’ve played some of the best football the country has seen in a while. We’ve broken all kinds of records- possession, passing, goals scored(inevitable) and conceded and what not. We’ve beaten every team in the league this

What is wrong with Manchester City this season? Is losing David Silva a key factor in this current form of Man City?

Losing a player like David Silva is a key factor, let me first tackle this…

This season with Real Sociedad Silva has 2 assists and 1 goal, but he is the player with the most passes directly into the penalty area.

Now Man City usually lined up in the 4–3–3 formation with Kevin and Silva playing the two CAMS (although they start the game as CMS) roles that would push up the pitch and create a larger a

Who does Manchester City need to sign?

A massive overhaul is required.

Goalkeeper: Backup of Hart is required.

Defence: Only Otamendi could be deemed as a first team starter. Kompany cannot be trusted with fitness and he is not getting any younger. Mangala’s technical abilities are still a question mark. Full backs have also aged and passed their peak. He will keep one or two as backups but definitely not starters.

Midfield: Fernando, Silva and KDB are the only good options. Silva is 30. Need younger players to replace him. Injuries have taken a toll on him. Sterling needs to be given more confidence but definitely he cannot be truste

What is wrong with Manchester City this season? Is losing David Silva a key factor in this current form of Man City?

I think Man City were at their very best in 2019 when they won the premier league with a 100 point tally. Things went downhill for them in the 2019–2020 and 2020–21 season as Liverpool showcased remarkable consistency and won the league last season. Considering Man City’s current form, I barely expect them to finish in the top 4 at the end of the season.

Man City’s form reduction could be attributed to the below reasons-

Pep plays a similar style of football against all opponents. Teams now understand his strengths and weaknesses and are ready with befitting solutions to Man City’s gameplay.

Who does Manchester City need to sign?

Analysing the weakness in the squad, position-wise

Goalkeeper – No change is necesssary as Hart is one of the best, Cabarello is a decent backup but his age is what concerns most fans. Rulli or Oblak could be a future signing.

Defenders -This is one place where Man City need to improve especially at the centre-back position to fill in the void of the irregular Demichelis and out of form Mangala. Otamendi had been sensational in his first season replacing Kompany during his injury. They need a young and promising centre-back like John Stones or Aymeric Laporte. These two are their first priorities.

Where did Yaya Toure go after Manchester City?

After leaving City in 2018, Toure signed for Super League Greece club Olympiacos on 2 September 2018. However contract with Olympiacos was terminated in December 2018 by mutual agreement. On 3 July 2019, Yaya joined China League One side Qingdao Huanghai. He left that club on 1 January 2020.

Coaching Career

On 10 February 2021, Touré joined Ukrainian Premier League club Olimpik Donetsk as assistant manager. He left the position after 4 months at the club. On 14 June 2021, Touré was appointed as an assistant coach by Russian Premier League club Alhmat Grozny until June 2022. On 13 December 2021,
