Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1 Galatasaray

Boom! Frankfurt take the lead, and then give themselves something breathing room just before the break.

First, nineteen-year-old Turkish midfielder Can Uzun scores his first Champions League goal by controlling a low cross with one foot, spinning, and blasting a shot into the top corner with his other.

And then, a mere couple of minutes later, a wide free-kick is nodded in by Jonathan Burkardt.

Man City 0-0 Napoli

It’s one-way traffic but Manchester City cannot find a way through this resolute Napoli defence.

Man City 0-0 Napoli

Celebrations in the Napoli defence as Matteo Politano manages to take the sting out of a goal-bound shot from Tijjani Reijnders and goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic falls on the ball.

Manchester City thought they had scored. This is getting frustrating for the hosts.

Not a red card for me and Haaland’s waving a imaginary card is a disgraceful. Game ruined.

Sporting 1-0 Kairat Almaty

Champions League new-boys Kairat Almaty can’t quite hold on until half-time as Sporting take a deserved lead in Lisbon.

Their opener comes through Francisco Trinccao who curls in a beauty into the top corner from the edge of the box.

Newcastle have chosen well when to go short or go long in this game. At this stage, it’s better to just get it away and put pressure on the Barcelona goal.

Sanchez own goal puts Frankfurt level

published at 20:41 BST

20:41 BST

Eintracht Frankfurt 1-1 Galatasaray

In Germany, Eintracht Frankfurt have levelled things up.

Their goal is a proper comedy of errors as Galatasaray scorer Yunus Akgun gives the ball straight to Ritsu Doan on the edge of the box, putting the Japan forward clean through.

Doan’s initial effort is saved, but the ball then deflects up to defender Davinson Sanchez and bounces off the ex-Spurs man’s thigh and in.
