Head-to-head: Bournemouth vs Manchester United

This is only the 22nd meeting between the clubs and only the 13th in the league.

The first encounter was on January 9, 1948 in the FA Cup. United were 6-0 winners on the day.

The Red Devils have won 14 of the meetings, with the Cherries coming out on top on four occasions.

Bournemouth’s 3-0 win at Old Trafford in the reverse fixture ended a three-game losing streak against United.

Form guide – Manchester United

Manchester United are without a win in three games.

They are also without a win in four games in normal time given their last victory was Amad Diallo’s extra-time winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Late goals have not favoured United since, with Brentford, Chelsea and Liverpool all netting the final goals of the last three games.

Stat attack – Manchester United

Manchester United are without a victory in all three competitions and are also on a three-game winless run on the road – losing two of those.

United’s defensive woes are well documented and the Red Devils have not kept a clean sheet on their travels since the 0-0 draw at Liverpool – eight matches ago.

Erik ten Hag’s side have conceded 17 in that run.

Stat attack – Bournemouth

Bournemouth’s unbeaten run may have ended at Luton Town last weekend but the Cherries could record four straight Premier League home wins with victory against Manchester United.

Andoni Iraola’s side have won six of their last 11 at home with just two defeats suffered in that time.

Those losses were against Liverpool and Manchester City.
