Manchester United have won the 2024 FA Cup with a 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday.
The Red Devils went into the clash at Wembley as underdogs against a City side that just won the Premier League title for the fourth year in a row.
Having come out on top against their Manchester rivals, United will be heading back to Wembley for the Community Shield at the start of next season.
But who exactly will be joining them in the traditional curtain raiser?

Who will Manchester City play in the Community Shield?
Manchester United will play Manchester City in the Community Shield 2024 after those clubs won this season’s FA Cup and Premier League titles respectively.

In the event that the same club wins both the Premier League and the FA Cup, the team who finished second in the league will qualify for the Community Shield.
But that did not happen this season, with City winning the Premier League and United clinching the FA Cup after an eighth-placed finish in the top-flight.
When is the Community Shield 2023?
The 2024-25 FA Community Shield will take place on Saturday, 10 August 2024.
It will be played on the Saturday before the start of the new Premier League season.
How many times have Manchester United and Manchester City won the Community Shield?
Manchester City have won the Community Shield six times in their history.
Their last victory came against Liverpool on penalties in 2019 following a 1-1 draw after normal time. They have lost the last three to Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester.

Manchester United have won the one-off game 21 times – which is the most of any English team.

The Red Devils’ last triumph arrived back in 2016 courtesy of a 2-1 win over Leicester, who had just won the Premier League title at odds of 5000/1.
Who won the Community Shield last year?
Arsenal are the reigning champions heaving beaten Manchester City in the 2023 match.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Leandro Trossard forcing extra-time with a late equaliser, before the Gunners come out on top via a penalty shootout.
