England are expected to try out a new setup when they face Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarter-finals later today.

A 95th-minute equaliser courtesy of Jude Bellingham followed by Harry Kane’s extra-time strike saw England beat Slovakia 2-1 in the Euro 2024 Round of 16, setting up their clash with Switzerland after their 2-0 win over Italy. The Three Lions were far from convincing once again as they edged past 45th in the FIFA world rankings, with Gareth Southgate set to make a big change later today.

England could switch to a back three when they make the trip to Dusseldorf, a formation that has been kind to Southgate in the past. The switch in formation could also see Bukayo Saka start at left wing-back, a position he’s played before for Arsenal.
