“In as much as I hate Man united, I will always want the best for Ten Hag, which is why I’m pointing him in the direction of signing this amazing player. This will enable him to compete in bigger competitions, as I will be retiring soon and I want him to take over in Europe,” Pep Guardiola tells Erik Ten Hag to go for the £50m player if he wants to conquer Europe next season

Manchester City star Jack Grealish has sent a clear message to Pep Guardiola ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Following his key role in Man City’s treble-winning campaign, Grealish struggled to match those levels in the following nine months with Guardiola handing him just eight Premier League starts. The arrival of Jeremy Doku certainly impacted the 28-year-old’s minutes with Guardiola agreeing with that in his Grealish verdict.
“He [Grealish] will be back,” Guardiola boldly admitted in May. “He’s struggled this season. Jeremy has made an incredible step forward as everyone has seen in the last games. But Jack will be back at the level of last season – I’m pretty sure.”

Despite that Grealish has been linked to an exit with talk of a move to Arsenal or even a sensational reunion at Aston Villa emerging. However, the winger appears fully focused on regaining his spot in City’s starting XI, judging by his recent update on holiday.
With Gareth Southgate opting to leave Grealish out of his 26-man England squad for the European championships, he has been spending some of the off-season abroad. Having already returned to City’s training base , Grealish was back on his travels, though it has not been a fully relaxing retreat for Grealish with his social media message proving as such.
On Instagram stories, Grealish posted a shirtless selfie with the caption: “Late night runs abroad nothing better [sun and running man emoji].”
