Manchester United have just five days left to get their business done before the summer transfer window closes.
United are among the busiest Premier League sides ahead of the deadline of 11pm on Friday, August 30, with incomings and outgoings on the agenda. The 2-1 defeat by Brighton on Saturday showed the improvements that can be made to the squad – now it is just a case of making it happen.
That is easier said than done, with profit and sustainability rules meaning that United need to offload unwanted players before they can bring in any new ones. The signings of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui would represent a strong window, but at least one more is still wanted.

Allow Mirror Football to guide you through the latest as we enter the final week of the transfer window. It’s a mixed bag, United fans.
McTominay offer accepted
First, the good news: United have accepted an offer for Scott McTominay. United held firm earlier in the summer, rejecting two approaches from Fulham, who went up to £20million, and have been rewarded, with Napoli stumping up €30m (£25.4m) for his services, while United will also include a sell-on clause.
Napoli boss Antonio Conte has been badgering his club to get him some new players and McTominay could be joining Romelu Lukaku and Billy Gilmour in Italy. He still has to agree personal terms with the Italian side, but it looks promising.
McTominay played 11 minutes off the bench in the loss against Brighton – and that could well be his final appearance for his boyhood club. If so, he’ll leave having made 255 appearances for the club, with 29 goals and eight assists.
