Erik Ten Hag’s managerial career
Erik started his managerial career in 2012 with Go Ahead Eagles before becoming head coach of Bayern Munich’s second team. He then joined Utrecht in 2015 as director of football and head coach for a successful two-year stint leading them to fifth and fourth place, respectively. His performances caught the eye of Ajax Amsterdam, who acquired his services.
In a five-year stint, he won the Dutch Eredivisie three times, the KNVB Cup twice, and the Johan Cruyff Shield once. He joined Manchester United at the beginning of the 2022-23 season and won his first trophy, the Carabao Cup, in February 2023. He was also named the English Premier League Manager of the Month twice in his first season, in September 2022 and February 2023.
